Your ceremony journey

YOUR STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO BOOKING ME, CEREMONY CREATION AND YOUR WEDDING DAY.

1 Email or call me.

Say hello, tell me more about your wedding plans. Advising your ceremony location and wedding date is a great start.

2 Confirming my package & availability.

I will email you my Service Package and at the same time I will confirm my availability for your preferred wedding date. If I am available and you are keen to proceed, let's take the next step.

3 We have our first chat either face-to-face, phone or Skype.

Some couples are keen to make a good connection with me, so, we can talk about general wedding ceremony ideas and how I can make a difference to your wedding ceremony. For other couples, you might be ready to book me based on all the information I have already given you, so please let me know so I can hold your date in my diary.

4 So you want to make a booking.

Email or call me (if we are not meeting) and let me know, because I always get excited about couples I am going to marry! I will then email my bank account details for the Booking Fee deposit, confirming your booking for your preferred wedding date.

5 Booking fee paid, what next?

This is the juicy part. I email you a very detailed overview of what you can expect from me, and what legal paperwork I need from you, and of course I love learning about you as a couple.  It is great for me to understand your individuality and how you came to meet one another. To gather this information, I email you a questionnaire to complete and email back to me a couple of months before your wedding.

6 Legal paperwork due at least one month before your wedding.

Yes, I really mean at least 1 month before your wedding! By law, your Notice of Intended Marriage must be in my safe little hands, lodged with me, at least one one month before your wedding day, even if it is just a scanned email copy. Most of the couples I marry live interstate or overseas, so don't worry, I make this really easy for you if we can't meet. I give you solid informative details about how this can be done easily, with little fuss. And, if the deadline is looming and I haven't heard from you, I will remind you. ID is needed and I need your original copy well before your wedding day.

7 I write your ceremony and email it to you.

I have already taken time to review your questionnaire, talk and/or meet with you and give you options to choose from. I send you a draft and because I have all the information I need, usually there is little to change except a few details. Of course the aim is to craft your ceremony until it feels like yours, and that is what I do.

8 Approval of ceremony.

There may be 2-3 drafts to get all detail confirmed and perfect for you.  I’m not happy unless you are completely happy. I wait for you to tell me that you love it all! I like to have your ceremony approved by you at least 2 weeks prior to your wedding.

9 Legal paperwork preparation.

I gather your personal information and prepare your legal paperwork for you to sign after your ceremony.

10 Rehearsal or no rehearsal.

If you choose to rehearse with your wedding party, its best to meet at your ceremony location. Sometimes a simple second meeting allows for more detail to be discussed without the need for a full rehearsal. I can guide you through this decision based on bridal party size and ceremony location.

11 Your wedding day.

On the day of your wedding I meet the groom and bridal party at the ceremony location 30 minutes early and ensure all guests are seated or ready. When the bride arrives, I greet her and then it’s time to enjoy the ceremony, walk the isle and take your vows. For me, this moment at every wedding becomes embedded in my memory!

12 Kiss the bride.

Rings, vows and love have been exchanged, and you and your chosen witnesses sign the register, making everything official.

13 BDM Official registration.

I take the official paperwork and register it alongside ordering your official wedding certificate. You’re married!

Your  journey with me comes to an end but it's never goodbye...we stay in touch exchanging memorable photos and video footage re-living your perfect wedding ceremony.
