Ceremony word smithing for each couple starts with a questionnaire, to help me better understand each couple whilst aiming to understand and achieve their wedding day dreams and aspirations. My next step is to draft a ceremony from inception, with all the detail provided and built into the ceremony, carefully crafted to enhance the sentiment in their moment of love, their way.

This wedding was no different. Writing for a professional editor, Bride, Wendy and and international DJ, musical and lyrical writer, Groom, Rick, was an absolute delight and a great challenge. The energy and effort they placed on the information they provided allowed me to write a masterpiece, taylored for them. Their life history and stories provided were so rich with life, love, lust and friendship the ceremony so beautifully displayed their admiration for one another, with tears flowing all around us.

As word smiths themselves, Rick & Wendy wrote beautifully crafted longer and very descriptive personal vows. As the ceremony was the most important part of the day for them, they owned this moment of love so deliciously; crying, laughing and enjoying their heart-space with their closest friends and family.

This was their day to shine as one, and I was truly so honoured to stand by so closely and watch their love unfold before our eyes.

Of course the Orchard space at The Farm where Three Blue Ducks hold their wedding ceremonies is a ceremonial space to dream about – a canopy of nut trees with light breezes and delightful farm animals and birdlife in abundance all in a manicured rural setting minutes from iconic Byron Bay.
