CORONA CRUNCH

So we are all feeling it. Our new reality of COVID-19.

Who would have thought life would come to a grinding halt?

Who would have thought, that weddings would need to be re-scheduled and the new limit of people attending any wedding would be 5 people!

Yes, thats right, only 5 people including the celebrant, couple and witnesses; so your photographer and wedding planner or photographer and videographer can be your witnesses.

I have found that many have opted not to go with this option. Instead they have postponed for later 2020 or 2021.

Sadly I was SO close to marrying two men 2 weeks ago. They were here in Byron, only to receive a continuous stream of calls saying guests could not attend. They cancelled. Not even an elopement would meet all their dreams. So they will await their big day next year.

That was the first of many postponed weddings for the early part of 2020 for me.

I’m sure we all felt like 2020 was the start of something new and fresh, but what we didn’t know was that the ‘new and fresh’ meant slowing down, taking head of the valuable things around us and spending the time with loved ones we always yearned for.

For the many other couples, 3 of which I was meant be marrying this weekend, I believe the time will come for your union when the time is right.

It’s so easy for us to busily plan, but sometimes life places roadblocks that are unavoidable, and life itself takes charge and creates our destiny.

It’s time to sit and just be. Rise towards the uncomfortable moments. We will all come out of this stronger, wiser and more resilient.

For those couples thinking about a 2021 wedding. Now is the time to plan. 2021 is filling up with 2020 + 2021 couples getting in early so they can pick ‘la crème de la crème‘ of Byron Bay wedding vendors. Enquire now for my availability. I’m here and listening. If you have reduced income or have lost your job, but still want to plan your wedding, contact me and let me know. I am happy to save your date for you and re-visit when life returns to normal.

Stay safe and well.

Big love to all.
